Vince McMahon: The Rock Will Appear At ‘Multiple’ PPVs; Impact He Had On WWE Business

At today’s WWE investor conference call, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon talked about the Rock and the impact that he had in the company’s second quarter, namely in television ratings as well as pay-per-view buyrates. WrestleMania alone generated $28 million in revenue.

McMahon also noted that Dwayne Johnson will be appearing at “multiple” PPVs in the coming months aside from WrestleMania 28. As noted previously, Rock has been confirmed to appear at the Survivor Series event this November and will confront John Cena. McMahon mentioned that the WrestleMania 28 travel packages were stronger than in years past because of the Rock being promoted to be on the show to wrestle John Cena. It was also revealed that Rock was originally planned to be part of the SummerSlam PPV, but couldn’t be there due to scheduling conflicts.
