SAN JOSE

HHH is in the ring and he says they will have one of the most historic nights in the company at Summerslam when WWE Champion John Cena faces WWE Champion CM Punk. He says alot has changed in the past month, and they went from having no champion and Vince being in charge to having two champions and having him being in charge. He says there will be an undispusted champion on Sunday, and to make sure of that he will put someone in charge who won't be pushed around, and that man is him. HHH can really trust himself right now, but he will officiate the match and call it right down the middle, and they will have one undisputed champion. He says that is Sunday, but tonight they will have the contract signing, and Punk and Cena will have individual matches, and John Cena's starts now.

John Cena vs Jack Swagger

Swagger puts Cena in a front facelock, then showboats a bit and gets clotheslined and put in a headlock. Swagger throws him into the ropes but Cena hits a shoulder block, a corner splash and a dropkick, but only gets a two count. Cena goes back to work on Swagger's left arm but Swagger counters into a suplex for two. He kicks away at Cena in the corner and backs away and whips him across the ring and hits a Swagger Bomb for another two count. Cena turns Swagger and hits a gutwrench suplex, then runs to the corner but misses Swagger, who hits a shoulder block and follows with an armlock.

Cena gets whipped into the corner again and tries to shake it off, but Swagger fires off of the ropes and chop blocks Cena knee. He taunts some more and goes for the Ankle Lock, but Cena counters and hits a flying tackle and the Five Knuckle Shuffle. He waits for Swagger to get up and hits the Attitude Adjustment to pick up the win.

Winner - John Cena

Scott Stanford tries to introduce CM Punk's opponent for tonight, but Ricardo Rodriguez takes the mic from him, and does it himself. Alberto says Punk is the Voice of the Cowards, and he ran away in Chicago when Alberto tried cashing in. He says tonight everyone will see what would have happened that night if Punk stayed and face him.

Josh Mathews is in the locker room with R-Truth and he asks why Truth took advantage of John Morrison. Truth rambles and say 'why' over and over, then starts talking about why he hates spiders. After saying his grandma made spider soup for Little Jimmy, he says he is going to stomp the spider into the mat tonight, and that spider's name is John Morrison.

The Miz vs Rey Mysterio

Miz attacks Rey before he can even get down the ramp, and knees him in the head then throws him into the metal WWE logo on the stage. Miz doesn't let up and slams his head off of it repeatedly, then stops when he is restrained by a bunch of referees.

Result - ???

They all check on Rey while Miz makes his way to the ring and Cole goes to ask him what that was all about. Miz says it was impressive, but he doesn't even know who he will face at Summerslam. He is sick of hearing all of the emphasis on the WWE Championship match, but he is the must see wrestler and he is all over TV and magazines. Miz says if that is what he has to do to get some attention, then he will do it, and he wants a ref to come declare him the winner. A ref comes out and says they will not have a forfeit, but Miz will have another match by order of HHH, and he will face Kofi Kingston.

The Miz vs Kofi Kingston

Miz puts Kofi in a headlock then throws him to the mat, and runs the ropes but Kofi leapfrogs him and dropkicks him for two. Miz punches Kofi in the corner until the ref backs him off, then Miz whips him into the opposite corner. Kofi is waiting and Thesz presses Miz, then tosses him over the top rope and hits a suicide dive as we go to a break.

Miz is in control after we get back, and he has Kofi in a headlock in the middle of the ring. Kofi punches Miz in the midsection and tries to roll him up, but Miz clotheslines him and sets up for a corner clothesline. Miz hits it and goes up top to hit a double axe handle smash, but Kofi kicks out and Miz resorts back to a headlock on the mat. Kofi armdrags his way out and gets another near fall, then hits a heel kick, but Miz holds him and goes for his neckbreaker/backbreaker combo. Kofi counters and hits a crossbody off the ropes for two, but Miz stays in control and tries another corner clothesline.

Kofi sees it coming and ducks through the ropes and goes up top, but Miz cuts him off and they fight up top as Miz tries to superplex him. Kofi punches him back then hits a powerbomb for two, and starts clapping to ready Trouble in Paradise. Miz ducks it and goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, and Kofi counters, but Miz counters right back by dropping him throat first on the ropes and hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

Winner - The Miz

Josh Mathews wants to know what CM Punk thinks of HHH making himself the referee of his championship match. Punk says he wants to know what Josh thinks, because he could have seen this coming since HHH has a bigger ego than Vince. He mentions HHH doing things for business, but he warns HHH to stay out of his business and stay out of the match. Punk says beating Cena for the title is good for business, then changes his attention to Alberto Del Rio. He says Alberto called him a coward, but he is about to go to the ring to prove him wrong and to kick his teeth down his throat.

Alberto Del Rio vs CM Punk

Alberto kicks Punk in the knee then kicks him into the corner, but Punk gets up and armdrags him then kicks him in the face. Punk drives his shoulder into Alberto ribs then whips him across the ring, but Alberto slides out of the way and Punk hits the ringpost. Alberto continues to attack the shoulder and puts him in an armbar, then Punk headbutts him to break it, but Alberto hits him and drops an elbow on his shoulder again. Punk is leaning on the ropes and Alberto dives at him but no one is home and he crashes to the floor.

Punk is in control when Alberto comes back in and he hits a high knee and a corner bulldog before leaping off the top rope and hitting a flying clothesline. He goes for the GTS, but Alberto slides back and shoves him into the ringpost, then drops him with a Backstabber and gets a two count. Alberto goes right back to the shoulder, but Punk roundhouse kicks him in the head and hits the GTS for the win.

Winner - CM Punk

Beth Phoenix vs Eve Torres

Beth elbows Eve near the ropes, then gets dropkicked into the ropes but she lowers her shoulder and throws Eve over the top and outside. She whips Eve into the barricade then drags Eve by her hair back into the ring, then slams her head into the mat by pulling Eve's hair. Beth whips her into the ropes and Eve counters then kicks Beth in the face, and connects with a toe kick off the second turnbuckle. Eve tries going up top but Beth knocks her down and pulls her into the middle to hit the Glam Slam for the win.

Winner - Beth Phoenix

Beth asks for a mic and she tells Eve she is sick of girls like Kelly and Eve making a mockery of the Divas division. She says there will be no more booty poppin' and no more stink faces. She leaves the ring and says she wants to ask Eve one more thing, but doesn't get the chance and Kelly runs down the ramp and cracks her right in the back of the head. Kelly goes to check on Eve as Beth slowly gets up to her feet and stares back in the ring while holding her head.

olph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero) vs Alex Riley

Dolph rushes Riley in the corner but Riley moves and hits a lariat off the ropes for a two count. Dolph kicks him in the corner then goes for the sleeper hold but Riley shoves him into the corner to break it. Dolph runs at Riley again but gets hit with a spinebuster and Vickie gets in the ring and starts screaming at Riley. She slaps him in the face to get Dolph disqualified and Dolph starts yelling at her for screwing up.

Riley turns Dolph around and punches him right in the jaw, and he falls into Vickie and they both hit the mat. Vickie and Dolph flip on each other and scream back and forth before Vickie leaves and tells Dolph she is done. She looks back from the ramp and it looks like they are screaming 'you need me' back at each other.

Winner (by DQ) - Alex Riley

R-Truth vs John Morrison

Both guys pound each others lights out then Truth tries to escape but Morrison punches him and throws him into the barricade. Morrison tells him he didn't forget Truth tried taking him out, then tries standing on the barricade but Truth drops him neck first on it and takes it back inside. Truth wrenches back on his neck then hits a sitout facebuster and tells him to get up. Truth tries hitting Shut Up! but Morrison holds the ropes and whips Truth into the corner. Truth reverses an irish whip and punches Morrison, then hits Shut Up! to win the match.

Winner - R-Truth

John Laurinitis and HHH are shown in the locker room going over the details of the contract for the WWE Championship match at Summerslam. Michael Cole tells everyone that they are finalizing the contract and the signing will be up next after a word with Christian. Christian says he will deal with Randy Orton this week, and they will both be in action on Smackdown. He says he also has an announcement to make on this week's show, and he strongly suggests that HHH shows up in person to hear it.

HHH introduces both participants in the title match and both Punk and Cena join him and John Laurinitis in the ring. HHH says let's but to the chase but Punk tells him the match is official so this signing must all be for show. He says this never ends well so they can just flip the table and beat each other up, but Punk says he feels like he is in a movie right now. He feels like he is pitching a movie, and he got a clip with an actual movie star to show everyone. HHH mocks him and Punk mocks him and 'The Chaperone', then says take it away, Dwayne.

We get a clip of the Rock saying John Cena is mad because he is in arenas every night wearing his tough guy clothes and he says his music sucks. Rock says when his music stops, Cena hears the dueling chants, and he will hear it forever. Rock says Cena even gets booed in his hometown and Rock represents men who think Cena sucks. Punk says there is alot right with that clip, but Dwayne is a hypocrite too, and maybe Punk should stop making fun of them and sign the contract. Cena tells him it caught him off guard but he likes it, and he puts over the Rock, but says after all the success he shouldn't be mad about anything.

Cena says Rock doesn't like the way he dresses, but Punk also has issues with Cena being cookie cutter and PG friendly. Cena says here is the truth: the Rock has the millions and Cena will never win them over, but Punk has his fans that think Cena sucks and he should be heel. He was originally offended by the Yankees comment, but they are the most loved and hated franchise in sports, and he can be proud of it now. He doesn't care about pleasing Punk's fans, because he does it for the WWE Universe.

He calls Punk a hypocrite for wanting all of the perks but coming back and trying to be the underground 'Voice of the Voiceless.' HHH says not to add fuel to the fire, but Cena is telling the truth and Punk basically held out for more money and some extras. Punk asks who fires people around here, and asks if John Laurinitis personally went and fired the recently released Superstars, and Punk says he is not the one who is gutless. Punk says this is about Cena and the WWE Championship, and it's easy for Cena because he looks down on Punk and everyone else. Punk brings up his ECW title win and says Cena didn't pay attention to him before that, then says Cena told him him almost gave up on him. Punk says he holds grudges and he has had a sour taste in his mouth ever since.

He makes fun of Cena for becoming a sports entertainer but says he fought to become a professional wrestler and he had to claw for everything he has. He says Cena will walk into Summerslam as champion, but he will leave with nothing, because he is the champion, then signs the contract. Cena says all the pressure is on him, because he only won one match, and he asks Punk what might happen if he actually loses this match? Cena calls him a loudmouthed one hit wonder, and says if he doesn't produce, it will all be gone like that. Cena says good luck, but Punk says luck is for losers and he would rather be a one hit wonder than a loser. Cena says they have been talking for too long, and Punk says it's what he does but he will kick Cena's teeth down his throat and they face off. Laurinitis tries seperating them and Punk kicks at Cena but hits Laurinitis in the head, then Cena goes after Punk and shoves HHH into him. HHH gets in his face and backs him off as Punk screams about a conspiracy between Cena and HHH as RAW goes off the air.

After Raw:

After Raw was over tonight, Cena and Punk got into it and a match was made. It was a title match, and it ended in a no contest after The Miz and R-Truth interfered to beat down both Cena and Punk.

Eventually Punk and Cena were able to fight both Truth and Miz off, and they retreated to the back. Punk and Cena then grabbed their titles and posed on the ropes with them staring each other down like they did on Raw last week.
